Antique 14K Gold Griffin Peridot eye Locket Pendant seed Pearl Enamel JR1386

An exceptional early 19th century 14K gold locket pendant composed in two articulated sections. The upper mount features a finely modeled griffin with textured feather and scroll detailing, set with a small peridot eye. Below suspends a richly dimensional oval locket centered with an eight-point star motif in deep blue enamel, accented by seed pearls. The outer frame is decorated with additional enamel beads and gold granulation work. The reverse opens to a glazed compartment, original frame intact. A rare symbolic composition with strong mythological presence and refined period craftsmanship.
