Antique Chinese Tongzhi Rooster Famille Rose Lobed Bowl Clay Seal A1276

A distinctive late 19th-century Chinese porcelain bowl, circa 1862–1875, featuring multiple hand-painted roosters among flowering plants and foliage. The lively rooster decoration wraps around the exterior, accented by turquoise, iron red, pink, black and green enamels. Its gently lobed oval form and raised foot give it a much more sculptural appearance than a conventional bowl.

The underside bears a red seal mark together with an old clay seal. The hand-painted decoration shows attractive period character, with fine feather detailing and a blue scrolling border around the foot. A particularly decorative Qing-period piece with strong visual appeal.
