Description
A late 19th to early 20th century oyster plate produced by Haviland & Co., Limoges France. Molded in a five-well configuration with central sauce compartment, the porcelain surface is decorated with hand-painted yellow roses and trailing branches, characteristic of Haviland’s naturalistic floral motifs of the Belle Époque period. Raised and brushed gilt leaf garlands radiate between the wells, and the scalloped rim is finished with substantial hand-applied gilding. The double mark in green and red confirms period production. Mint condition.
