Antique Floral Porcelain Rococo Six Well Oyster Plate A974

A beautiful late 19th century fine porcelain oyster plate featuring six molded shell shaped wells surrounding a central dip cup. The smooth white porcelain body is hand painted with delicate lavender blossom clusters and natural brown leafy branches. Raised rococo style scroll framing details the edge of each individual well, giving the piece an elegant dimensional look. The scalloped rim is finished with hand applied gold gilt borders. The underside features a clear glazed back with a hand written reference number near the foot rim.
