Antique German porcelain oyster plate by Excelsior, designed with six gracefully molded oyster wells encircling a raised center sauce well. The plate features finely detailed shell forms accented by hand-painted floral bouquets in delicate pastel tones. Flowing Rococo-inspired scrollwork along the rim is highlighted with soft gilt decoration, creating a refined interplay of relief and color. The underside bears the “EXCELSIOR – Made in Germany” mark, associated with export porcelain produced during the German Empire period. This piece represents the elegant table presentation typical of late nineteenth to early twentieth century European oyster service.
