Antique German Registrirt 0714 Hand Painted Sky blue Oyster Plate 7.75" A1263

Antique German porcelain oyster plate with the impressed/etched “REGISTRIRT” mark and hand-painted number 0714 on the reverse. The square molded form features five individual oyster wells and a separate scallop-shell condiment well. Soft blue ground, creamy white oysters, dark brown shell edges, pink accents, sea-grass decoration, and gilt trim create a particularly attractive late Victorian coastal design. “Registrirt” was used on German registered designs, and closely related oyster plates with this mark are generally dated to the late 19th century.
