Antique Haviland Limoges Turkey Oyster Plate Raspberry Pink Gold A1240

Exceptional late-19th-century Haviland & Co. Limoges “Turkey” oyster plate featuring five sculpted white oyster wells with naturalistic brown shells against a vivid raspberry-pink ground. Fine gilt decoration and a scalloped gold-trimmed rim complete this highly decorative Victorian design. The underside carries both the green H&C L factory mark and Haviland & Co. Limoges decorator mark. The H&C L mark was introduced in 1877, and this Turkey-form pattern is documented circa 1880–1900.
