Description
This elegant antique oyster plate was produced in Limoges, France by M&C Co. during the late 19th to early 20th century, circa 1891–1906. The plate features a softly scalloped rim with delicate hand-painted floral sprays in pale pink and green, arranged across five shaped oyster wells with a central sauce well. The translucent white porcelain body is accented by refined gilding along the rim, lending a restrained yet sophisticated presence characteristic of high-quality Limoges tableware of the Belle Époque period. The form, palette, and hand decoration reflect the refined seafood service traditions of French and Anglo-European dining at the turn of the century.
