Antique Theodore Haviland Limoges porcelain oyster plate with five large oyster wells surrounding a center sauce or lemon well. The vivid cobalt blue border is finished with fine gold decoration, while the inner wells feature additional gilt detailing against bright white porcelain. The underside is marked Theodore Haviland Limoges France. A very attractive antique example with strong color contrast and elegant gold work. Comparable 8.5" Theodore Haviland cobalt-and-gold oyster plates are dated around 1900.
