Description
This Charles Field Haviland Limoges oyster plate presents a graceful, flowing composition centered on restraint rather than excess. The softly contoured wells rise organically from the surface, creating gentle depth and movement across the milky white porcelain. Scattered pink blossoms with fine brown stems appear almost weightless, drifting across the plate rather than forming a rigid border. Along the undulating rim, hand-dabbed gold accents catch the light irregularly, emphasizing the sculpted edge and giving the piece a subtle, timeworn warmth. The overall effect is quiet, refined, and distinctly Limoges—decorative without being ornamental.
