French Lalique Art Deco figure of a cat, called Chat Assis, the cat facing forward with ears pricked up, the tail delicately wound toward the right back. The model first designed during the Art Deco period of the 1930s, but so popular as to still be in production in the late 20th century. The base, signed Lalique FRANCE. Measures: 8 1/4" H., roughly 4" W., 7" D. No chip, crack or repair. No original box circa 1970.
