AN Italian ca 1970s 14k yellow gold delicate 1.5mm chain necklace with serpentine or S links. Serpentine chains have “S” shaped links that are double layered; they have a thin profile and the chain lies flat on the neck but is still quite flexible. It can be worn alone, with other chains, or work well with a pendant. It has a spring ring clasp which is stamped Italy Balestra 585. It is 20" long and weighs 3.6 grams
