Description

Old Japanese resinous hair comb and hair stick. Gilt Makie lacquer decorations. About 2.25" high by about 4" wide. The stick is 6 3/8" long. Beautifully painted gold lacquer egrets/grasses, possibly mother of pearl inlays? The stick features a gold-painted design at the end, accompanied by possibly mother-of-pearl inlays on one side.
