This authentic 9 1/8 inch Minton majolica oyster plate, known by the iconic shape number 1323, features six radiating shell-formed wells surrounding a central sauce well. The border is expertly molded with relief sea shells and seaweed, a hallmark of high-Victorian majolica design. The reverse features the impressed factory mark MINTONS and the shape number 1323.
