A finely hand-crafted vintage Chinese Yixing zisha teapot featuring an organic naturalistic form with applied vine, leaf, berry, and squirrel decoration. The lid is topped with a sculptural squirrel finial beside textured fruiting vines, while the handle and spout are formed in an elegant branch style. The rich reddish-brown clay body displays a finely textured surface consistent with late 20th century handmade Yixing workmanship. The underside bears an impressed Chinese seal mark. A subtle line near the handle is part of the original design and craftsmanship, not a crack or damage. An attractive artisan studio piece with strong scholar object and tea culture appeal. It comes with the original box.
