Vintage Sarreguemines France Majolica Oyster Platter Seafood Fish 15" A1042

Impressive vintage French majolica oyster platter by Sarreguemines, featuring a richly molded seafood design in soft cream, taupe, brown and pale green tones. Twelve dimensional shell-shaped oyster wells surround an elaborate central medallion decorated with fish and seafood in high relief. The substantial 15-inch size and highly detailed sculptural decoration make this an especially striking master serving platter for a table or wall display.

Clearly marked “Sarreguemines France” on the reverse. A beautiful example of mid-century French seafood tableware with wonderful texture and neutral coloration.
