Vintage Tiffany Favrile Iridescent Glass Scarab Paperweight 5" A1051

Large and impressive vintage Tiffany-style Favrile art glass scarab paperweight featuring brilliant iridescent coloration in deep cobalt blue, emerald green, turquoise and violet. The substantial molded scarab has a beautifully sculpted beetle form with defined head, legs and overlapping wing case, while the metallic iridescent surface changes dramatically with the light.

This is an unusually large and very heavy example measuring approximately 5 inches long. The design closely follows the celebrated Tiffany Studios scarab form. No Tiffany signature or hallmark is visible, so it is described as Tiffany style rather than definitively attributed to Tiffany Studios.
